All Office 2010 Activator

Being the type of person that reads tech blogs and articles, you know that the latest version of Microsoft Office is scheduled to ship in 2010. They have decided in the Microsoft imagination marketing department, to call it Office 2010. This will be the thirteenth version, but Microsoft have decided to miss the number thirteen out, and go straight to fourteen for superstitious reasons. Perhaps they need to do a bit more than renaming there code to miss the curse of the thirteen.

Recently the 32 bit and the 64 bit versions of office have appeared on torrent sites available for download by anyone. The original idea was that these versions of office would be available as a technical preview by people that had signed up to the preview website, and then selected by Microsoft to trial the sofware. It’s not known if the leaked version is the same as the RC that is going to be tested by the lucky few.

So far, it looks as if the setting up procedure is similar to that of Office 2007, but the ribbon interface is now uniform across all the office apps. Office 2010 will include the usual suspects; Access 2010, Excel 2010, InfoPath 2010, OneNote 2010, Outlook 2010, PowerPoint 2010, Project 2010, Publisher 2010, SharePoint Designer 2010, SharePoint Workspace 2010, Visio 2010, and of course Word 2010. One of the new features of 2010 will be the web applications that will work with most browsers.

The cynical side of me is unsure if the leak is a leak, or an attempt to big up Microsoft before the impending release of Widows 7, and the new office suite. If you are interested in trying the leaked version, a quick look at your favourite torrent site should yield some results, but it might be worth while waiting until the release candidate. It’s only a month or so away, and if you don’t get selected, as most of us won’t, the torrent sites will be your friend I’m sure.
